The preconceived and the constructed: Inspiration came to me a lot easier then the documentary project. I fell in love with the look of Victorian style postcard and my project evolved from there.

My friend Julia was my model.The shoot started off very natural.

Friendship journey…

I took 7 of my friends and photographed them. I then asked them a series of questions about their journey to Manchester, which I typed out and also printed. This turned out to be a little game to see If other people could fit their descriptions to the right faces.

I asked my friends to pick a song that most related to them. I experimented scanning in their faces on top of the acetate ( as I did with the hands) but in the end I decided just to use their faces as my final shots. These images had turned out better.
